Graduate students and undergraduate seniors at The New School are invited to participate in Hack Health: A New School Hackathon to Re-imagine Health, Healthcare, and Digital Solutions Friday through Sunday, Oct 21-23.
In this three-day workshop, participants of various disciplines will work together in small teams to explore, identify, and quickly prototype new concepts and strategies for making health accessible.
Students will work with New School faculty; industry experts in healthcare systems, information technology, data visualization, and ethnography; and global firms Cognizant Digital Works, ReD Associates, and Idea Couture.
Cash prizes of $6,000, $3,000, and $2,000 will be awarded to the first, second, and third place-winning teams, respectively. Food and drinks will be provided.
To apply, candidates should email a one-page CV listing their work experience, academic program, and research interests, along with a brief statement (200 words maximum) indicating why they would like to be part of this unique initiative to email@example.com. Applications are due Monday, October 10 at noon.
