While not a lot of people are aware of it, NSSR once had its own student newsletter, known as the GF Newsletter. The GF, or Graduate Faculty, was the original name of NSSR before the New School became the monolith it is today, back in the days of the University in Exile. Sometime in the mid 1990′s, the exact date seems to be shrouded in mystery, a group of graduate students decided to launch a political newsletter covering events in NSSR and across the university. It’s time to revive that tradition, and get back to providing important and timely news and political analysis to the NSSR community.
With that in mind, we are hoping to have our first inaugural issue of the revived GF Newsletter released just in time for May Day 2012! So if you have some burning political issues, a relevant piece of NSSR gossip, political rants or cartoons, manifesto or whatever, send them our way, and we will try to get them into the first issue of this new project. Also, if you are interested in helping to get this initiative off the ground, please let us know.
