Faculty Profile: Introducing Edward S. Mills III (video)

We are delighted to introduce Edward S. Mills III, Parsons Paris Director of Student Life & Advising. In this video he answers 10 questions, extracted from Proust’s Questionnaire.

Edward grew up in Lakeville, CT but has spent over nine years of his life abroad, beginning with a year at Collège Campra in Aix-en-Provence, France at age 12. After spending a gap year, traveling and working in Australia, Edward attended Skidmore College where he studied for a degree in Geosciences. After another year abroad, this time in Warsaw, Poland, Edward commenced his MA in Political Science at UNC and Sciences Po, Paris studying comparative political systems and the evolving European Union. This last undertaking brought Edward to Paris, France where he worked for six years at the International School of Management as its Academic Director, working with students and professors from over 90 different countries. After a brief year at Hackley School, in Tarrytown, NY developing an entirely new, comprehensive summer program, Edward returned to France with his wife Anna, his daughter Jacqueline and his son Severin.

Growing up, Edward spent countless days at his father’s sawmill in Falls Village, CT, learning all about the properties of wood and wood-working tools, and when time permits, still loves making a little sawdust.

Edward is thoroughly excited to meet the inaugural Parsons Paris students and welcome them to a city of unparalleled inspiration.
