header_ParsonsParis_Fruchtnis_rewu
REWU #10 will explore the forms of collaboration between artists and scientists. Artist, researcher, and part-time faculty member, Klaus Fruchtnis and scientist, Christophe Morin from the CNRS/CCRRET (French National Center of Scientifc Research) will discuss about their recent collaborative experience “From one world to another”, in order to question the relations between artistic/creative processes and scientific methodologies: Which is the role of this kind of collaboration from the point of view of the artist, the scientist and the institutions? Which are the implications and the results of this collective creative process? How the field of research pulls together these new methods of collaboration? Would art become an exact science? Can one speak about the coming of a “Third Culture” as Arthur I. Miller refers to it in his text “Fearless Symmetries”?
Speakers:
Klaus Fruchtnis – Artist
Christophe Morin – Scientist
Nicolas Enjalbert – Engineer
Célya Grusson Daniel – Expert
Laurene Cheilan – Scientific mediation
