Parsons The New School for Design has announced that it will honor Bonnie Brooks, President of the Hudson’s Bay Company, and Parsons alumni Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler at the 2013 Parsons Fashion Benefit, taking place May 22 at Chelsea Piers.

Reconstruction 3.0: Life is a Journey
As an exciting conclusion to New York Fashion Week, students from Parsons, New School Jazz and the Joffrey Ballet School will debut an evening of live performances featuring original music, dance and fashion inspired by Louis Vuitton and its heritage of travel.
Parsons and the London College of Fashion Present Local Wisdom
Parsons The New School for Design and the Center for Sustainable Fashion at the London College of Fashion have partnered to present LOCAL WISDOM, a project intended to change the way the public thinks about, buys and wears fashion.

The Sheila C. Johnson Design Center (SJDC) at Parsons The New School for Design presents The Public Private, the first New York exhibition of contemporary art that explores the impact of social media and new technologies on the relationship between the public and private realm.

On January 22, The Sheila C. Johnson Design Center (SJDC) at Parsons The New School for Design will present Sophie Gimbel: Fashioning American Couture, an exhibition that explores the career of this seminal, yet little known today, 20th century designer.
