THIS WEEKEND: Blerd City Con
Blerd City Con will be held in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn this weekend, July 29 & 30. The two day convention will be filled with screenings, panels and workshops designed to celebrate the eclectic interests, intelligence and artistry of African people. Creator Clairesa Clay’s intention is to create a safe space for expression and enthusiasm and fight back against negative stereotypes surrounding those who identify as “blerds”. There are still single day and full weekend passes available on the Blerd City Con webiste, as well as an extensive list of event times and locations. Come celebrate the nerd in all of us!
