Start of The New Semester
Welcome to the start of a new semester! For some 380 students, this semester marks the beginning of your journey at The New School. We send an extra special welcome to you.
It is an exciting time to be at The New School, as we mark our Centennial: one hundred years of boldly defining higher education for the next generation of engaged designers, artists, scholars, performers, and change leaders. We hope you have noticed the new logo, website, and those great water tower wraps atop the Welcome Center. Yet our Centennial is more than a symbol and celebration; it is an affirmation of the future. Whatever your role is at The New School, please remember that you are an important part of this culture and community. Every person here in some way carries forward The New School’s legacy, contributes to its stature and vibrancy today, and helps to define its trajectory. Thank you for being part of this adventure.
We promise a semester filled with challenging intellectual thought, eye-opening and provocative art, compelling designed solutions to complex challenges, exciting performances, and meaningful ways to engage and embrace perspectives different than our own. The New School is a community where all individuals are welcomed for who they are.
