Update for Students: Schools of Public Engagement Student Travel and Campus Updates Surrounding Covid-19
I hope that you are staying safe and prioritizing your health and well-being at this time. Across the Schools of Public Engagement (SPE) we remain ready to respond to your concerns and questions. Although the campus is currently not offering in-person classes and many staff are working remotely, staff are still available to you via email in the regular channels you have always used.
Many questions have arisen about what will happen on April 13 in the event that The New School decides to re-open for in-person classes. To clarify, at this time we are not delivering in-person classes through April 12 and have not yet made decisions about the remainder of the semester.
As many of you are traveling and leaving New York City, we want to assure you that all colleges (SPE/Parsons/CoPA/NSSR/Lang) will allow students to complete the semester online should you decide not to return to New York. To learn more about how online classes will affect your student status, please see the ISSS website: newschool.edu/international-students-scholars. If you have questions or concerns, ISSS advisors are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for virtual advising.
