A Victory for International Students and Higher Education
We are extremely pleased with the outcome of today’s court hearing in which the Federal government agreed that it would NOT go forward with the July 6 ICE guidance that would have had such a dramatic negative impact on international students and the universities they attend.
It is unfortunate that such an ill-conceived rule had been announced, creating so much anxiety, but we are incredibly proud of our community for making their voices heard and stepping up for the values we stand for as an academic community. This is a major win.
