Update on the Provost Search
A Message from the Co-Chairs of the Provost Search Advisory Committee
Dear Members of The New School community,
We hope everyone enjoyed the winter break and are excited about the start of the new semester.
As a brief update on the Provost search process, we are pleased to share the attached position specification. It was developed by the members of the Search Advisory Committee with broad input from the university community, including perspectives gleaned from our numerous inquiry sessions, individual conversations, and discussion within the committee.
We encourage you to freely share the position specification with individuals in your networks who might be candidates for this opportunity. Nominations, inquiries, or expressions of interest may also be sent confidentially to thenewschoolprovost@spencerstuart.com.
Even as we continue our outreach to generate a broad and diverse pool of candidates, the Committee has begun to review prospective candidates with the support of our search consultants. This is among the most time-intensive and confidential phases of the process, so we do not expect to have substantive updates to share with the community for some weeks.
