Entry Test Results and Ongoing Testing Requirements
Our community’s greatest strength continues to be our culture of care and commitment to one another. Thanks to your diligence, post Spring Break trends are encouraging: during the entry test period (March 21 to 27), students, faculty, and staff have taken more than 8,500 PCR tests with 81 positive cases for a 0.9% positive rate. These results, combined with a fully vaccinated campus and low community transmission, set a hopeful path for the rest of the semester.
Beginning Saturday, April 2, the university’s updated testing requirements will resume for all community members. Our hope is that the spring will include many important and celebratory events happening safely across our campus. We will continue to closely monitor the environment–including variants and impacts on local transmission–and evaluate our policies and practices, based on the latest data and guidance from public health officials, and in close coordination with peer institutions and collaboration with our community.
Please review the information below carefully and visit our COVID-19 Community Guide for the latest updates.

Next Steps for Masks on Campus
Thank you to the nearly 5,000 community members who responded to our recent survey about masks on campus. We are reviewing the results with the Faculty, Student, and Staff Senates and other leaders across the university and will communicate guidance by mid-April.
