Strategic Planning Process Kickoff Info Session Tuesday, March 21

Dr. Renée T. White, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs; Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee; and Dr. Lara Penin, Professor of Transdisciplinary Design, Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee

To The New School Community,

We hope you will join us for a Strategic Planning Process Kickoff Information Session on Tuesday, March 21 from 11:30am-12:30pm in the University Center at Tishman Auditorium. This session is a chance to get to know the steering committee and our community engagement partner, FLOX Studio, learn more about the next round of engagement opportunities and connect as a community looking towards the future. Following the information session, the Steering Committee will host an informal gathering with refreshments on the 5th Floor of the University Center until 1:00pm.

The session will be available via Zoom for those unable to join in person and a recording will be made available on the university’s dedicated Strategic Planning website. Be sure to check out the community update we shared last week.

We encourage you to take advantage of the multiple opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to share your ideas and get your questions answered on major university-wide initiatives this semester.

  • The Student Remedies Task Force wants to hear from you and has developed a survey for students that will remain open through March 22.
  • A Student Info Session on University Financial Impact will be held on Wednesday, March 29 from 12:00pm-1:00pm. This forum will be co-hosted by the University Student Senate and feature guests from Student Success and Engagement and Business & Operations. More details will follow.
  • Our Middle States Steering Committee needs your feedback! Reports on the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) standards are available to view on our Middle States website and surveys will remain open through March 29.
