Messages to the Community

Strategic Planning Info Session Recording and Upcoming Engagement Opportunities

A Message from Dr. Renée T. White, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, Co-Chair of Strategic Planning Steering Committee; and Dr. Lara Penin, Professor of Transdisciplinary Design, Parsons School of Design, Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee

Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and virtually for the Strategic Planning Information Session last week. We appreciated the opportunity to reintroduce our steering committee and our community partner FLOX Studio, and speak with you about where we are in the process and how we are adapting the process in recognition of the fall semester after a period of reflection.

A recording of the session is available here. To access the recording, please log into your New School account. We would also like to share the slide deck and a Strategic Planning FAQ which includes questions from the info session for your reference.

In an effort to create more opportunities for community-wide involvement, we hope you will join us in our new Strategic Planning Study located in the University Center (63 Fifth Avenue, Conference Room 514) where we will host office hours and activations through the remainder of the semester. With thanks to our steering committee member, Melanie Hart, and the Office of EISJ for supporting this temporary arrangement, we hope this space can be used fully by our community.

A list of upcoming engagement opportunities are listed below, and we look forward to sharing additional dates in response to your feedback to be more inclusive of student, faculty, and staff schedules.
