The Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice Honors and Celebrates AANHPI Month

The Office of Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice honors and celebrates Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2023. As part of The New School’s celebration the Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice and Government and External Affairs will continue the EISJ Series, announced in President McBride’s community message, that will critically interrogate the United States Constitution through a lens of inclusion and human rights. The Office invites you to join us for a program that will interrogate the status and impact of the legal rights provided under the United States Constitution, as well as the concomitant economic, political, social and cultural rights and creative freedom and practices that are essential for people of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander descent to access, exercise, and protect their rights and the rights of all who reside in the United States.

We are pleased to have Rachana Shah, Senior Director, Government and External Affairs lead our efforts this month as she engages in conversation with Glenn D. Magpantay, Esq.

Upcoming event – May 23, 2023

An interrogation of constitutional democracy and inclusion through the lens of Asian Americans – Glenn D. Magpantay, Esq., civil rights attorney, professor of law and Asian American Studies, and LGBTQ rights activist.
