Messages to the Community

Everything New Starts with a Spark

A Message from Dr. Renée T. White, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs

Each spring, our campus comes together to showcase groundbreaking research, creativity, and scholarship from all corners of the university. We look forward to all of the opportunities we’ll have to recognize student, faculty, and staff work at exciting thesis exhibitions and presentations, symposiums, performances, and so much more.

‌I’m delighted to invite you to join us for Spark, an initiative designed to celebrate our community and uplift the incredible creative energy and intellectual rigor that defines The New School.

‌The full range of Spark-related activities will take place across our colleges, programs, and departments in the months leading up to University Commencement. I encourage you to explore all of the upcoming offerings and hope this will ignite new connections, ideas, and possibilities.

‌Join us on March 20 to celebrate the kickoff of Spark! The Provost’s Office will host a reception on campus to bring students, faculty, and staff together with music and refreshments.

‌Visit the Spark hub for upcoming event highlights and more information.
