Celebrating the Achievements of the Parsons Class of 2020 at the Annual Parsons Festival
Parsons School of Design has launched Parsons Festival 2020, a virtual celebration of graduating students’ intellectual, innovative, and cutting-edge artistic achievements. The website brings this year’s group of artists, designers, filmmakers, illustrators, architects, and photographers to a global audience, and encourages repeated viewings and compelling ways to engage and interact with their work.
On view now are student works from across the five schools within Parsons, including Art and Design History and Theory, Constructed Environments, Design Strategies, Fashion, and Art, Media, and Technology. New projects will be added throughout June from students in the Communication Design, Integrated Design, and Transdisciplinary Design programs. July will see the addition of the School of Fashion, which partnered with award-winning musician Solange Knowles and her creative agency Saint Heron to create Here and Now to highlight the work of students across the fashion programs.
Special events are also scheduled throughout the Festival to commemorate the exceptional work by students across Parsons many exciting programs. These include The School of Art and Design History and Theory’s Spring 2020 Festival Showcase on May 30th and From the Epicenter: Infrastructures of Inclusion, a project hosted by the Urban Graduate programs at Parsons on June 5th to address the inequalities and injustices of the last four decades of global development. Other special events will be announced on the site in the coming weeks.
