Join the College of Performing Arts this Summer in Union Square Park

Summer in the Square is back at Union Square Park and students from the College of Performing Arts’ School of Jazz and Contemporary Music are joining in the summer fun. On Thursdays throughout July, find them in the Triangle Park Seating Area from Noon through 2:00 pm for live performances. Grab your lunch and listen to some great live jazz music.

Summer in the Square is presented by Union Square Partnership (USP), a community-based, non-profit organization working to ensure the best possible neighborhood for its residents, businesses, and visitors. In addition to Summer in the Square, USP hosts several free community events including park volunteer days, small business forums, networking opportunities, and more.

The New School has been deeply connected to USP since its beginning, with former New School President John Everett serving as a founding board member of the organization. The university has worked alongside the community organization for decades to support and strengthen this neighborhood community, and New School students have been involved in a number of USP’s community programs.
