Part-time Faculty Kristin Reynolds & Colleagues Awarded Grant from Institute for Human Geography

Part-time Environmental Studies faculty Kristin Reynolds and colleagues at three universities in the U.S. and Canada were awarded a small grant for their project, Radical Food Geographies: Connecting Knowledges, Cultivating Practices, (re)Imagining Governance, from the Institute for Human Geography.

The funding will support a full-day workshop and plenary panels that will engage academics and community-based food activists in strategizing how academics, policy makers, NGOs, and activists can work collaboratively to advance food justice and food sovereignty through policy change. The event will take place in Washington, D.C. in April 2019, surrounding the American Association of Geographers annual meetings.
