A Message from Kharkiv, Ukraine
From one of our Transregional Dialogues Fellows from Kharkiv, Ukraine:
“I am asking for your help because you are a large community of like-minded people who have repeatedly helped Ukraine and continue to do so! Over the past week, about 500 rockets have been fired at Ukraine, including more than 70 at Kharkiv alone. This morning there was another shelling of the city, several rockets hit a house not far from my house; several rockets hit not far from my university, which was badly damaged. In total, more than 900 windows in the university buildings were smashed by the shock wave… Today, all the students and staff of my university worked all day to board up the windows. But the university needs to restore them as soon as possible.
I am addressing you on my own behalf and on behalf of my Karazin University and asking you to help us in this difficult time. We are standing. We are unbreakable. We are strong in spirit and ready to work and stay in Kharkiv. The university has a charity fund to which you can send help, including to eliminate the consequences of today’s rocket attack. Here is a link to the website of our fund, where you can find all the information about possible ways to help: https://karazin.foundation/en/pidtrimaty.
I know that you always stand on the side of freedom, democracy, justice and are ready to help. I thank you once again for all your help and ask you to join us in this collection. If you can post this information on social media, send it by e-mail or just tell your friends and acquaintances, that would be great! We need publicity and we really need help.
Take care and thank you again!
Sincerely yours,
from Kharkiv, Ukraine,
Ruslan.”
