Fellowship Information Session
November 9, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This information session introduces the Integrative PhD Fellowship Program to interested graduate students at the New School for Social Research, Parsons School of Design, and the School of Public Engagement. Focused on student fellowships, this session addresses questions regarding eligibility, timeline, and the application process.
The Integrative PhD Fellowship Program will support fourteen PhD fellowships over the next three years, providing fellows with full stipends for two years while they take two courses introducing them to digital media or digital design. Acceptance to one of the humanistic social sciences PhD program at the New School for Social Research is required to be eligible for the Integrative PhD fellowship.
The New School’s Integrative PhD Fellowship Program broadens its social sciences training by introducing students to new analytical and expository techniques and fostering integrated research in design and the humanistic social sciences. It is not a degree program and does accept PhD applications. The first cohort of fellows will be selected by an advisory board during the Spring 2017 semester.
All eligible graduate students who intend to submit applications for the fellowship in Spring 2017 are strongly encouraged to attend this session. An FAQ page dedicated to the student fellowships will be available following the information session on November 9.
