Janey Fellow Gema Santamaría named recipient of the Charles A. Hale Fellowship for Mexican History
The Janey Program in Latin American Studies congratulates Janey Fellow Gema Santamaría for being named recipient of the Charles A. Hale Fellowship which rewards excellence in historical research on Mexico at the dissertation level, and for the candidate´s potential contribution to Mexican History. The title of her dissertation is: ¨Lynching Violence in Twentieth Century Mexico: State Formation, Democracy and Local Communities in Puebla.¨
The award will be presented in the Awards Ceremony of LASA XXXIII International Congress, Friday, May 29, 2015, to be celebrated in Puerto Rico.
