SHENS-UAW Local 7902, Student Health Employees, Ratify Strong New Contract

We are pleased to share that a strong, fair, four-year contract was unanimously ratified today by The New School’s SHENS-UAW Local 7902, Student Health Employees.
This renewal contract provides our valued Student Health Employees—including therapists, counselors, nurses, social workers, and physicians—a strong package that is responsive to the issues that are important to the union, including wage increases that provide equity among unit members and address wage compression and market adjustments for mental health counselors, among other benefits enhancements.
The contract runs through December 31, 2027.
Our gratitude and thanks go to both bargaining teams, who worked tirelessly to reach an agreement that reflects the needs of our Student Health Employees and their critical contributions to our community. We look forward to also reaching a strong agreement with our Academic Student Workers, SENS-UAW Local 7902, in 2024.
