Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies Alan McGowan Publishes THE POLITICAL ACTIVISM OF ANTHROPOLOGIST FRANZ BOAS, CITIZEN SCIENTIST

McGowan has published several articles on Boas. This book links the pioneering work of Boas in the field of anthropology to his political activism. McGowan is currently at work on a book with Springer Nature tentatively titled Life and Death in the Anthropocene.
