Au Clair De La Lune Drama and ESRA Combine Forces Again
The New School for Drama and Ecole Superieure de Realisation Audiovisuelle (ESRA), a division of the famous French Television / Film School, have once again combined forces in programming a collaborative venture for the spring semester. In the fall, ESRA brought several of their graduates to The New School to audit and observe the third-year Scene Study classes. This semester they began filming the musical FEAST written by Jessica Hinds (’09), composed by Mason Beggs (’09), and featuring Chaelon Costello (’09), Quanda Johnson (’10), Lauren Boyd (’09), and Christian Adam Jacobs (’09).
This has been a unique opportunity for all the students involved,, remarked New School Drama’s director Robert LuPone. The ESRA students have gained experience working with an extremely talented group of actors, making them better at their craft, while the Drama students are afforded the opportunity to work with some of the brightest, emerging film directors. The training and networking prospects are limitless.,
