Mentors for Well-Being Student Health Services Announces the New Student Peer Health Advocates

Students from across the university have been chosen and trained as peer health educators and advocates for the entire New School community. After successfully completing training sessions in program planning, referral and listening skills, and intervention methods in early March, these New School students will provide health education workshops in the residence halls, develop innovative exhibits, and give presentations in and outside of the classroom.

The spring 2010 roster of students include; Tanya Cuevas, Victoria Gomez, and Aleta Morn, The New School for General Studies; Aparna Pawar, Milano; Ryan Trapp, Parsons; and John Gentile, Caitlyn Limato, Natasha Mejia, Rachel Middleton, Viktoriya Radkovets, Celine Robinson, Matthew Taylor, and CaitlinVogt, Lang.

These students will work closely with the university health educators Rachel Knopf and Tamara Oyola-Santiago. For more information, please email healthed@newschool.edu.
