Giving Back To The Future Drama Faculty Member to Teach Master Classes for Youngarts’ in the Studio Week

New School for Drama’s movement department chair Tom Vasiliades will join Tony Award-winners John Guare and Gregory Mosher and several other artists who will teach master classes as part of YoungArts’ weeklong In the Studio program, running April 17-23. Thirty-seven of the nation’s top high school student actors, musicians, singers, dancers, writers, photographers, visual artists, and filmmakers have been selected for the program, which offers an intensive week of interdisciplinary artistic workshops and performances. The week will culminate in a performance at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, and an exhibition at Affirmation Arts Gallery on April 21.

YoungArts is the core program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. It is the signature national organization that recognizes and supports America’s most talented 17-18-year-olds in the visual, literary, and performing arts providing financial support and life changing experiences with internationally renowned artists. YoungArts alumni go on to become leading figures in their fields and include Vanessa Williams, Ra√∫l Esparza, Adrian Grenier, and Josh Groban.
