Parsons Photography Student to Showcase Work at Tate Modern
Justin Wolf, a sophomore in the BFA Photography program at the School of Art Media and Technology at Parsons, will be featuring work at the contemporary art museum Tate Modern in London as part of the New York-based collective K48 Kontinuum. In celebration of the Tate Modern’s 10th anniversary, the museum invited Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan and the curators Cecilia Alemani and Massimiliano Gioni to present No Soul For Sale – A Festival of Independents, which will be running from May 14-16 at the museum’s Turbine Hall.
The event will bring together more than 70 of the world’s most innovative, independent art spaces, not-for-profit organizations and artists’ collectives from around the world to present performances, music, film and installations, which will be displayed in an unconventional style.
K48 Kontinuum plans on making a statement within its designated space at Tate Modern, by plastering a giant photograph of a slice of pizza on the floor. This last slice, will stand as a symbol of the current economic global collapse.
