Going Greek In Greenwich Village Theta Nu Sigma Inducts New Members

Theta Nu Sigma, The New School chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society, held its third induction ceremony on the evening of Friday, May 7, at which Tom McDonald, assistant vice president for Student and Campus Life, was the keynote speaker. Thirty-three students who are among the top 10 percent of all students in their respective schools with cumulative GPAs of 3.7 or better as of May 2010 were honored for their academic achievement.

Established in the winter of 1945-46 to honor non-traditional students, Alpha Sigma Lambda is not only the oldest but also with more than 300 chartered chapters, the largest, chapter-based honor society for full- and part-time students. Theta Nu Sigma, The New School chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda, which was chartered in January 2005, held its first induction ceremony in May 2005.
