New Europe: Plays from the Continent Bonnie Marranca Co-Authors First Volume Since the Wall Fell

Bonnie Marranca, professor of Theater at Eugene Lang College, has co-authored a volume of contemporary plays, New Europe: Plays from the Continent, with a Malgorzata Semil, a colleague in Warsaw, Poland. This is the first drama anthology since the fall of the Berlin Wall to collect plays from across Europe reflecting the new political and cultural situation.

A Guggenheim Fellow and Fulbright Scholar, Marranca is the author of three collections of criticism, most recently a volume titled, Performance Histories (2008), which Choice called a valuable contribution to both performance studies and the history of performance., An earlier book, Theatre Writings, received the George Jean Nathan Award for Dramatic Criticism. She has also edited several anthologies of contemporary plays and essays.
