Town Hall Rising Star: Drama Graduate Brooke Schloesser Chosen From Hundreds

A year out of New School Drama and already singing on Broadway. Brooke Schloesser (’10) has been selected to participate in this year’s Broadway Rising Stars performance as part of the Town Hall’s Summer Broadway Festival.

A concert series designed to launch the careers of tomorrow’s stars, Schloesser and several other Drama students were invited to audition for coveted spots in the performance line-up. In addition to The New School, hundreds of students auditioned from other institutions including American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Juilliard, Carnegie Mellon, NYU Steinhardt and Tisch Schools, and more. Only 22 were selected to perform in this one-night only event.

The concert will be directed by Nightlife Award-winning vocalist Scott Coulter, choreographed by Vibecka Dahle, and musically directed by John Fischer. Visit www.the-townhall-nyc.org for more information.
