The New School Gives Back to the Community

The Office of Student Housing and Residence Life is committed to serving the community. This year, each New School residence hall has chosen a theme or an area to focus civic programming efforts on and give back to the local New York City community.

On Saturday, October 23, the resident assistant staff kicked off this initiative by teaming up with the Hudson River Park to clear weeds and brush along the Westside Highway between West 26th and 28th streets. With more than 45 staff members from each of five residence halls as well as professional housing staff participating, they were able to make a big impact to the area.
