Find a Place in the Social Justice Conversation

Because making positive change is part of The New School’s DNA, the opportunity to improve the world we’ve been given is a critical component of the intellectual and creative lives of students and faculty alike.

Acquiring the skills that help create change is serious business. That’s why the Office of Social Justice Initiatives in the Provost’s Office is sponsoring a discussion on Social Justice Organizing, on Friday, May 6 from 4 ‘ 5:30 p.m., in room 510, 66 West 12th Street.

Special guest scholar-activist Rose Brewer, African American and African Studies professor at the University of Minnesota will join students for a conversation designed to build stronger coalitions among progressive issues, academic divisions, and student organizations.

As the Office of Social Justice initiatives is considering a leadership intensive seminar for students in September, now is the time to share your opinion about what students most need to enhance their organizing and advocacy skills.
