Town Hall Rising Star: Drama Graduate Tristan Morris ’11 Chosen From Hundreds
Fresh out of The New School Drama and Tristan Morris (’11) has already been selected to participate in this year’s Broadway Rising Stars performance as part of the Town Hall’s Summer Broadway Festival.
A concert series designed to launch the careers of tomorrow’s stars, Morris and several other Drama students were invited to audition for coveted spots in the performance line-up. In addition to The New School, hundreds of students auditioned from other institutions including American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Juilliard, Carnegie Mellon, NYU Steinhardt and Tisch Schools, and more. Former Drama participants are Brooke Schlosser (’09), Bridget Ori (’09), Mark Cajigao (’08), Darcie Champange (’07), Stacie Greenwell (’07), and Justin McConnaughy (’07).
Those selected to perform this year will appear in this one-night only event on July 18 at 8:00 p.m. at New York’s famed Town Hall. The concert will be directed by Nightlife Award-winning vocalist Scott Coulter.
