By now, you’ve probably heard about the student email account upgrade to Google Apps for Education. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the service, Google Apps is a feature-rich suite of web-based messaging and collaboration applications, including Gmail, Calendar, Talk, Docs and Sites.
If you have already made the transition, we hope you are finding these tools useful as you begin a new semester. If you’ve not yet gone Google, visit www.newschool.edu/google for instructions on how to quickly and easily migrate your account. The site will give you all the details you need on how to get the most out of your new apps. You can switch yourself over anytime between now and September 19, 2011. After that, the Information Technology staff will automatically transition remaining accounts.
