What We Talk About When We Talk About Lang

The new year is off to a great start for Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts, which was recently named one of the country’s best schools for encouraging class discussions by the Princeton Review. Known for its small, seminar-style classes, Lang was all but guaranteed a repeat appearance on the annual ranking. See the whole list at the Huffington Post.

But we can’t let it go to our heads: Lang was also named to Education Portal‘s list of 15 Top-Notch Colleges Without Bloated Reputations. Lang’s small-college feel, in a big city setting and propensity for encouraging class discussions, were cited as reasons for its inclusion on the list, which also featured Georgetown University, Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania.
