Drama’s New Voices Playwrights Festival March 28 through April 7
The New School for Drama presents the freshest writing talent in theater at the New Voices Playwrights Festival, which features five original plays performed in repertory March 28-31 and April 4-7 at The New School for Drama Theater, 151 Bank Street, 3rd floor. Showcasing the work of this year’s graduating playwriting MFAs, the festival also highlights Drama’s actors and directors.
The series is advised by The Play Company’s founding producer and Drama faculty member Kate Loewald, who is renowned for her support of new work and new actors, and bringing them to the stage. Recent playwriting graduates include Samuel French Award Winners Bekah Brunstetter (Be A Good Little Widow), Josh Beerman (Mountain Song), and Gabe McKinley, whose CQ/CX recently finished a run at the Atlantic Theater Company.
Admission to New Voices Playwrights Festival is free; reservations are recommended. Please call Ticket Central at 212.279.4200 or visit www.ticketcentral.com.
