Improve The New School’s Sustainability Profile: Apply for a Green Fund Grant Today
Do you need funding for a bright idea? Are you interested in studying how behavioral change affects conservation? Have you thought about turning your thesis project into an ongoing New School program? Are you seeking an opportunity to develop curricula on sustainability?
Each year, the Office for Sustainability, Facilities Management, distributes up to $50,000 in research seed grants and support for projects led by students, faculty, and staff at The New School. The office provides funds for projects that will significantly benefit the university’s sustainability efforts by improving our sustainability profile and offering students valuable learning opportunities.
To apply, visit www.newschool.edu/greenfund and submit an expression of interest by March 30. You can submit questions to greenfund@newschool.edu.
The Green Fund Committee and the Office for Sustainability are particularly interested in proposals that
- Investigate ways to incorporate sustainability in The New School curriculum.
- Address The New School’s energy and water consumption, storm water use, and solid waste management.
- Examine how consumption of water, energy, and other limited resources can be reduced through behavioral change.
Interested parties are strongly encouraged to review the online Green Fund archives to see which entries were funded in past years.
