Poets of the Piano and More: International Keyboard Institute and Festival
From July 15 -29, the 14th International Keyboard Institute and Festival founded by Mannes alumnus and faculty member Jerome Rose, will feature master classes, symposia, and performances by world-renowned pianists. Two concert series will take place this year: the Prestige Series featuring accomplished young artists from around the world, many of them recent winners of major international competitions; and the Masters Series featuring guest artists and faculty.
This year many of the guest artist faculty will not only perform but also lead master classes for Mannes faculty and students. Jerome Rose will perform the opening concert. Other distinguished pianists to perform include: Cyprien Katsaris, Massimiliano Ferrati, Akiko Ebi, Alon Goldstein, Nikolai Demidenko, Jeffrey Swann, Alexander Kobrin, Yuan Sheng, Marc-André Hamelin, HaeSun Paik, and Denis Kozhukhin.
David Dubal returns for several events including sitting down with Eva Rubinstein to remember her father Arthur Rubinstein, as well as helping to celebrate Debussy 150th anniversary with a lecture and live performance by five artists.
