An Appetizing New Partnership: NSPE and the International Culinary Center

The New School for Public Engagement’s Undergraduate Program is teaming with The International Culinary Center, one of the world’s most esteemed culinary institutes, to establish a new transfer agreement.

Staring immediately, graduates of select International Culinary Center programs will be eligible to transfer academic credit towards an NSPE Bachelor of Art or Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts. Building on The New School’s pioneering Food Studies program, the collaboration demonstrates NSPE’s commitment to interdisciplinary education informed by real-world experience. From the kitchen to the classroom, students in this program will gain a 360-degree understanding of food and food issues, learning both the “how” and the “why” of contemporary and traditional cuisine.

Later this year, a second phase of this collaboration will allow undergraduates at NSPE to complete a six-month program at The International Culinary Center, while retaining their New School enrollment, housing, and financial aid. Stay tuned for more news from this unique venture.
