The New School News

Public Engagement, Now Digitally Optimized

Following on the heels of the Newschool.edu redesign of December, the university launches its latest in a series of refreshed and refurbished updates—a new and mobile-friendly look for the New School for Public Engagement website. Displaying a similar bold style and intuitive navigation as the main university homepage, the divisional site continues taking contemporary to the next level. The site’s horizontal design makes it easy for users can easily browse through the division’s programs, access news, events, and more information anywhere within the site—all in just a click or two.

With captivating photos and intriguing text, the landing page of the new site is all about the faculty, students, and projects that define the division. Stories, profiles, and projects that exemplify The New School for Public Engagement’s founding principles of social action and learning by doing form the core of the site. An interactive search tool located on the upper right hand corner makes it easy for prospective and current students to locate information by subject, school, and degree level.

This design, as well as the Newschool.edu homepage, is only the beginning of a larger project aimed at transitioning all university webpages into a similar streamlined and striking design. Be sure to reach out with your suggestions and impressions by using the feedback form on the main university homepage. Stay tuned for more updates!
