Parsons x Kering
For the second year in a row, Parsons The New School for Design is partnering with Kering (the French luxury megagroup, formerly PPR), to provide graduating Parsons BFA Fashion Design students the opportunity to earn an internship within one of Kering’s 19 luxury and sport & lifestyle brands. These include Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Gucci Group, and more. For the first time, Kering and Parsons are partnering with Style.com, which is profiling each of the 14 student finalists selected by Parsons through May 15.
A panel of fashion insiders, which includes Eco Age’s Livia Firth, Style.com’s Dirk Standen, Barney’s New York’s Dennis Freedman, Kering’s Laurent Claquin, Paper Magazine’s Mickey Boardman, and Parsons’ Simon Collins, will meet to judge the work of these 14 finalists and choose two students who will not only be awarded internships by Kering, but will also have their looks showcased at Barney’s New York, another key partner in this amazing opportunity for our students. Stay tuned to for the announcement of the competition winners on Style.com.
