Parsons Alumni and Faculty Shine at the 2025 Met Gala
Every spring, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City hosts the Met Gala, which corresponds with the Institute’s exhibition devoted to fashion, style, and culture. This year’s exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” proved to be a fruitful theme for the Gala’s red carpet, which are often called the “Oscars of Fashion.”
Parsons alumni including Charles Harbison, Marc Jacobs, Prabal Gurung, Zac Posen, and Jackson Wiederhoeft all created beautiful and unique looks for the carpet, while the exhibition includes alumni such as Jacques Agbobly and Jeffrey Banks. Additionally, Jonathan Square, Professor of Black Visual Culture in the School of Art and Design History and Theory at Parsons, served as an advisor for the exhibit.
