Media Studies Faculty Rafael Parra Wins Daytime Emmy for Sesame Street
Rafael Parra, an assistant professor in the graduate Media Studies program, recently won a Daytime Entertainment Emmy¬Æ Award for his editing work on the long-running children’s television program Sesame Street.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) recognized Parra and the Sesame Street team for its Outstanding Achievement in Multiple Camera Editing. This is the second year in a row that Parra and his colleagues have won this award.
NATAS is a professional service organization dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. It recognizes excellence in television with the coveted annual Emmy Award, now in its 38th year.
