Does Torture Ever Work? New School Faculty Receives Grant
Emanuele Castano, associate professor of psychology at The New School, and Bernhard Leidner, a New School for Social Research post-doctoral fellow, have received a two-year grant from the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation, which sponsors research on violence, aggression, and dominance. Their research project is titled When We Torture, Moral and Pragmatic Arguments for and Against Torture, and Their Effect on Public Support for Redressing Past and Preventing Future Injustice.”
