University Center Tours Starting Friday, November 30

What’s going on in there?

As you walk by the University Center site corner of 14th Street and Fifth Avenue, you can’t help but wonder what it looks like inside.

Now’s your chance to find out.  Starting Friday, November 30th, The New School will offer weekly tours of the site to students, faculty, and staff. These hour-long tours will give an up-close look at how the interior of the University Center is taking shape. Tours are led by Josh Stone, a Parsons M.Arch student who interned on the building site last summer.

Tours meet every Friday at 3 :00 p.m. in the Welcome Center at 72 Fifth Avenue. The tours are given to ten people at a time—you make a reservation in advance at universitycentertours.eventbrite.com. In addition, those on the tour must bring their New School IDs, wear closed-toed shoes, and wear the hard hat provided at the start of the tour. Be prepared to walk up and down stairs and through unfinished spaces. Keep in mind that this is an active construction site.
