Parsons Paris

A look back on our 2nd annual Career Night

At our Parsons Paris 2nd annual Career Night on April 3, 1/4 of our student body participated in the variety of activities offered, including Wix website creation, resume and portfolio reviews, exchanges with alumni guests, a LinkedIn photo session, and meeting companies at their booths and over 70 one-on-one interviews. The event brought insights into the hiring/interviewing process, leaving students inspired and prepared, and of course making the search for a job a little less nerve-racking!

In particular, seniors met with HR professionals to present the current status of their thesis projects. One of the unique advantages of Parsons Paris is the access to the many European and Paris-based companies and brands in such close proximity, allowing our students invaluable face-to-face meetings and feedback opportunities.

We are so proud of our students, as participating companies described them as “passionate”, “curious”, “self-confident”, “driven”, “creative” and “very talented”. We got specific feedback from companies including:

  • “All students were very creative … and very well prepared for the evening.”
  • “I think the passion of the students and the energy at Parsons Paris is very different from other schools.”
  • “Would love to meet more students like those I met!”

While many were a bit nervous going in, we heard back from students saying that the interactions with companies were rich, boosting their confidence and giving them contacts for internships and future employment. They noted that the ambiance and exchanges were all very positive and that recruiters were extremely responsive and interested in their work and profiles.

A big thanks to Virginie Grillet, Director of Careers and Internships, who planned the evening, as well as Karen Decter, Event Coordinator,  and all those who contributed to making the night run smoothly!
