A collection of online photo exhibits to enjoy this summer

This is a wonderful time to check in with the galleries and museums around the world who have been inspired to share a plethora of on-line and 3D photographic exhibitions.

Biennale fĂĽr aktuelle Fotografie 2020

This German photo festival offers a virtual tour of six thematic works as well as digital platforms which showcase catalogs of selected artists’ photographs.

CIRCULATION(S) European Young Photography Festival

CIRCULATION(S) is a decade old French festival dedicated to emerging contemporary photography in Europe.  This year, 45 artists are participating in a visual storytelling series in place of the original program. You can follow their updates via Instagram.

In “Common People” Ukranian photographer Anton Shebetko denounces the imposed silence, acts of discrimination and intolerance faced by Ukraine’s gay community.

PHmuseum

The PHmuseum (Photographic Museum of Humanity) is dedicated to contemporary photography. Each year more than 60 photographers display their work in their online gallery space.

In “Memories of a Father” Chinese photograper Pan Wang walks the Qinling Mountains and uses photography as a memento for his defunct father.

Google Arts and Culture Photography

This site features features hundreds of virtual tours and online exhibitions including 396 photo galleries.

Gordon Park’s “A Harlem Family 1967” was published in LIFE magazine’s 1968 special section on race and poverty  “The Cycle of Despair: The Negro and the City.”
