MA Fashion Studies Y1 Workshop with Studio KH

Photographic Workshop led by Justin Morin with the support of the photographers Kate Fichard and Hugo Deniau.

Printing Fashion #4 Photographic Workshop

On Monday the Y1 MAFS shot their photos for the magazine Printing Fashion. The students were joined by the photographers Kate Fichard and Hugo Deniau from Studio KH who helped them to develop their visual dialogues for the magazine. The photo shoots were an opportunity to reflect on a series of contemporary as well as historical magazines such as Dazed, Gaze, Narcisse, Mirror Mirror Magazine, Cactus and more through such lenses as the shifts in gender discourse, dialogues within popular culture and geographical differences within magazines.

The Photographic workshop had place within the context of MA Fashion Studies course Fashion Cultures led by Justin Morin. The images the students produced through the workshop will be part of the forthcoming Issue of the Printing Fashion Magazine.

The festival and magazine Printing Fashion were founded in 2019 by Marco Pecorari and Justin Morin with the aim to discuss different facets of the fashion industry through printed and digital publications. This year Printing Fashion will be online on 24th & 25th March and will explore the idea of transformation within the fashion industry and within fashion magazines.
