The Sándor Ferenczi Center

Race and Ethnicity in the Analytic Supervision Dyad

The Sandor Ferenczi Center presents

Race and Ethnicity in the Analytic Supervision Dyad

An event organized by the

Inter-Institute Committee Task Force on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Sunday, October 20, 2019
12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The InterInstitute Task Force on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion formed in November 2018. Our mission is to collaborate with psychoanalytic institutes across NYC to promote dialogue, share resources and advocate for change in regards to social identities within our institutes, beginning with racial/ethnic equity. Our mission is to transform all levels of psychoanalytic education, including the candidate experience, supervision, curriculum and faculty selection and to identify potential for institutional transformation.

Our next event will be hosted at the Ferenzci Center on Sunday, October 20th from 12:00pm-4:00pm.  For this meeting, the focus will be on Supervision. We plan to have two live supervision dyads present with varied configurations of racial difference in the supervisory relationship.

If you are a psychoanalytic candidate or faculty member and interested in reserving a seat for this event, email rossanna.echegoyen@gmail.com.
