2025-2026 Advising, Registration, and Housing
A message from: Robert Mack, Vice Provost for Student Success and Engagement
Dear Students,
I hope you had a chance to rest and make the most of your spring break. For those of you continuing your studies in the Fall 2025 semester, I want to share some important resources and reminders.
Academic Calendar
As you plan for the new academic year, please review the 2025-2026 academic calendar to familiarize yourself with the important milestones throughout the year.
Advising and Registration
Continuing student registration begins at 8:30 a.m. EDT on your assigned registration day. Please visit MyNewSchool to find your assigned day and register for classes. If you have not already met with your academic advisor, you can schedule an appointment through Starfish to discuss your fall classes. It is important that you review and resolve all holds you may have on your student account prior to the start of registration to ensure you are able to register. You may check for holds on the Registration Information page on MyNewSchool.
Summer 2025 Housing
Summer housing is available for the full 12-week period only and you do not have to be enrolled in summer classes in order to live on campus. Visit the Housing Portal for additional information, including rates, policies, and cancellation terms.
2025-2026 On-Campus Housing
On-campus housing is available to current New School students in the 301 Residence Hall. Students must pay their housing deposit and submit the application on the Housing Portal by the priority deadline: Friday, June 6th at 12:00 p.m. On-campus housing is guaranteed to any student who pays the housing deposit and submits the housing application by the priority deadline. If you have any questions, please contact universityhousing@newschool.edu.
Dining Plans
The university offers a variety of dining plans during the academic year that provide more options and greater flexibility for our students. The One, Two, Three, and Express plans allow students to eat on campus when it is convenient for them.
Continuing residential students will be automatically enrolled in the Two plan but may elect to participate in the One, Three, or Express dining plans, or opt out of the dining plan program entirely. Off-campus students can enroll in any of the dining plans by simply opting into one of the available packages in MyNewSchool. Visit the Meal Plans page for more information.
Support
As we approach the final stretch of the semester, I want to remind you to reach out for support. Whether it’s through seeking assistance from professors, using campus resources, or connecting with your peers, know that you are not alone.
If you have any questions related to billing and payment, financial aid, registration, or student records, please connect with the One Stop Student Service Center.
If you have questions and are not sure who to ask, please email us.
For those graduating, I look forward to celebrating with you at University Commencement on May 16th. Thank you for being part of our community and for the contributions you make to it.
